It’s that time of year where the weather starts to warm up, the canola fields are on show and the cherry blossoms are arriving just in time for Cowra’s Sakura Matsuri Cherry Blossom Festival.
The Cowra Japanese Garden have a fantastic schedule planned for 2015 showcasing traditional Japanese culture, martial arts, fine food and plenty of entertainment for all the family.
The main event of the festival, Sakura Matsuri Family Day at the Japanese Garden will be held from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 26 September. Activities will range from a traditional Tea Ceremony, Bonsai demonstrations, food
stalls and more.
A martial arts stage will hold demonstrations of Karate, Sumo Wrestling, and Aikido. There will also be performances from Taiko Drummers, Japanese Dance, Sakura Choir, and much more.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for seniors, $15 children or a family pass $60 and are available on the day. For further information contact Cowra Japanese
