Have your say on the draft 2025 water shar­ing plans for inland surface water areas. The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water has extended the closing date for public exhibition for the be­low water sharing plans.

• Lachlan Unregulated River Water Sourc­es 2025

The department has allowed for additional time to seek comment from water users, in­dustry bodies and communities affected by these water sharing plans. The closing date is now 11.59pm AEDT on Friday 10th Janu­ary 2025.

A further extension has been provided for comments on the prescribed wetlands.

Comments are welcomed until 11.59pm AEDT on Sunday 2 February 2025.

The Department of Climate Change, Ener­gy, the Environment and Wate are hosting an additional webinar on wetlands on Mon­day 9th December 2024 at 12.30pm AEDT.

This webinar will outline details on the meth­od undertaken to identify WSP prescribed wetlands within a plan area, what the new rules for wetlands are, and how these new rules may impact landholders. Visit https://water.dpie.nsw.gov.au for further details on how to register.
