Eugowra Swimming Pool Transformed With Significant Restoration Works

26 November, 2025 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Deputy Mayor Jamie Jones, Phil Donato, Member for Orange, Andrew Gee Federal Member for Calare, Elsie Noble and Molly Miles.

Cabonne Council is proud to announce the completion of significant restoration works at the Eugowra War Memorial Swimming Pool, delivering a modern, resilient, and accessible facility for the local community.

The project was funded through the Community Assets Program, a joint initiative of the Australian and NSW Governments under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA), now administered by the NSW Reconstruction Authority.

Mayor Kevin Beatty said: “The Eugowra pool is an important community asset, and these upgrades ensure it is safer, more accessible, and equipped to provide a great experience for residents and visitors well into the future.”

This program forms part of a broader $24 million investment to rebuild flood-impacted infrastructure across Central West NSW.

Cabonne Council received over $8 million to support multiple recovery projects, including the Eugowra pool.

Over the past eight months, extensive works have transformed the pool into a safer and more functional community asset:

• Roof Replacement: New insulated roof panel system with gutters and downpipes.

• Amenities Upgrade: Full refurbishment of changerooms with new plumbing, electrical systems, epoxy flooring, toilets, showers, benches, partitions, and a new accessible bathroom.

• Plant Room Shed Replacement• Pool Resurfacing: Main and toddler pools resurfaced with fiberglass coatings, new coping tiles, reformed steps, and lane markings.

• Landscaping & Comfort: New turf, gardens, irrigation, concrete paths, and shade structures.

The completion of this project reflects Cabonne Council’s commitment to community resilience and improved recreational facilities for Eugowra.
