Eugowra CWA Celebrate 90 Years

A very successful afternoon was held last Saturday at “Eat Your Greens” by the Eugowra Branch of CWA to celebrate their 90th Anniversary. Amongst the 120 guests were official guests, Ruth Shanks AM World President of Associated Women of the World, Annette Turner State President of CWA of NSW, Alana Donaldson Central Western Group President, Gail Hayden, Patron of Central Western Group of CWA, Mayor of Cabonne Kevin Beatty and Councillor Cheryl Newsom.

Other guests travelled from as far as Queensland, Sydney, Wagga Wagga and Canberra to enjoy the celebrations. The Cavalcade of Fashion from Sydney showed fashions from 1919 to 1939, with beautiful dresses, hats and underwear all on display. State President of the CWA of NSW Annette Turner presented Eugowra member Janet Noble with her 50 year service badge at the luncheon and Patron of Eugowra Branch Shirley Heinzel, granddaughter of original member Mabel Pengilly cut the beautifully decorated cake made by Annette Connell.
