On the Easter long weekend the locals of Canowindra were given the chance to participate in the Easter fun and celebration day hosted by David Bullock at Morris Park from 12pm to 3pm on Saturday 31st March. Easter is a time to reflect not only on the life of Jesus but our own lives as well, as time goes by we are changed by life events and to reflect upon it can help us look to the future.
Throughout the day there were games, music and various activities for everyone to participate in the fun of celebrating the life of Jesus and his sacrifice for the good of those who condemned him.
The day began with a welcome to country in both the English and traditional Wiradjuri dialect before the events kicked off with fun
and games, and a few bible readings. Face-painting and crafts were the most popular of the stalls of the afternoon with free food and drinks provided throughout the day to keep everyone’s thirst and hunger satisfied. Local musicians Georgia Cole, Georgia Grenfell and Nerida Cuddy performed a bracket of songs to provide entertainment around the activities.
There was a jumping castle and even the traditional Easter egg hunt, the excitement came to a close with Nerida performing one last touching song to bring a fantastic day of fun and games to an end with the event organiser thanking everyone for their attendance.
