East Coast Stockfeeds To Hold Growers Afternoon

20 August, 2020 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

The East Coast Stock Feeds site.

East Coast Stockfeeds (ECS) started trading in the mid 1920’s beginning out as grain and produce merchants selling out of road side shop fronts all throughout Sydney.

The business has proudly continued to be 100% family owned and operated over the last 100 years, and has since grown to be a major marketer of all commodities ranging from food and beverage manufacturing byproducts, through to many different grains, legumes and pulses for human consumption and animal stockfeed.

For the past 25 years, the company has been guided by founder John Dolden’s grandson Reg Dolden. He has recently retired and ECS is now being led by the next generation and Reg’s son Stuart.

Stuart has been working in the company for the past 28 years, starting from the bottom, working at ECS’s silos in Narrandera after finishing Ag college, moving up through the ranks to now CEO.

Stuart, along with his wife Amie and their three young daughters are passionate about farming. To them it’s not just work, it’s their family and livelihood. Stuart has a keen interest in sustainability throughout the agricultural industry and is constantly updating himself and all staff with the latest knowledge and strategies best in the buying, selling and storing of grain.

ECS is committed to keeping up with the current trends and transport compliance of the agricultural industry.

To best service customers throughout the east coast of Australia, ECS have been slowly accumulating a fleet of trucks, ranging from single tippers through to B Double and road trains, enabling them to be a one stop shop for farmers, food and beverage manufacturers, as well as any other business that require bulk commodity transport.

They are also “value adding” many waste food products (diverting from land fill) to produce balanced rations for livestock.

With grain storage facilities 7km west out of Gooloogong on the Warraderry Way as well as a 25,000mt (silo’s 9,000mt/sheds 6,000mt/ bunkers 10,000mt) facility on Yuruga Rd at Billimari (10km south of Canowindra), ECS has all the systems in place to ensure the smoothest transaction possible.

Stuart and Amie will be hosting a Growers Afternoon on Thursday 3rd September 2020 at 3pm, with information about ECS’s harvest opening times, segregations as well as on farm storage and fumigation.

The afternoon will be held at the Billimari Town Hall. Head down for a BBQ, a beer and a treat for the kids.

The Dolden family look forward to seeing you there. For further information Stuart can be contacted on 0419 248 338.
