A Day for Ellie will be held on Saturday 2nd March 2019 at Canowindra Golf Club. The organisers are currently seeking donations for the day. Three year old Ellie, daughter of Canowindra locals Rachelle and Adam Wild, granddaughter of Anne and Barry Traves was last year unexpectedly and heartbreakingly diagnosed with Leukaemia (T Cell ALL) and within days was admitted to Westmead Children’s Hospital.
For the last 5 months, Ellie and her family have been living in Ronald McDonald House, 5 hours from their home in Canowindra, while she gets the lifesaving treatment she needs for her cure. In this time, Adam, Ellie’s dad, has sold his successful business to allow him to be in Sydney with his family and their home is currently on the market.
A Day for Ellie will include an Ambrose golf tournament, a BBQ lunch, family friendly activities and an auction and raffle. If you would like to donate your time, services or products, the organisers are looking for support in the following categories:
• Large ticket items that can be auctioned on the day ie. Electronics, travel vouchers, signed memorabilia
• Smaller items to bundle into raffle packages
• Vouchers or giftcards
• Monetary donations, petrol or food vouchers for the family
• WISH giftcards for the family
All funds raised will be deposited directly into the Wild’s account to use when and how they see fit. Donations can be left locally at Jeanie O’Malveney’s House, 7 Rodd St, Canowindra. If you wish to donate money to support the Wilds, you can address all cheques to Adam and Rachelle Wild or you are welcome to donate directly to an account set up for the family: A Day for Ellie, BSB 032080, Account number 599872
