The Canowindra Pre-School Kindergarten Inc has been providing quality care and education to the children of Canowindra for the past 60 years. This May the Pre-School will be holding a Diamond Jubilee fundraising event to celebrate this special milestone. Canowindra Pre-School Kindergarten Inc is a not-for-profit organisation run by parents, families and carers of children that attend the Pre-School.
Over the last 60 years the Pre-School has grown from being open only half a day a week to five days a week, extending from a one-unit Pre-School to a two unit (providing two class rooms rather than one, separating 3 and 4-year-old children), extending the opening hours of the Pre-School, providing Outside School Hours Care and most recently a playgroup/parents group for children 0-5 years.
The Pre-School has just completed a renovation of the existing building and is commencing the construction of a new building.
These works have been partly funded by a government grant. The Diamond Jubilee Fund Raising Event is being held to assist in refurbishing and providing resources and materials for this expansion. The Pre-School are now calling for donations from local businesses for raffle prizes and auction items.
The evening will be held at the Moorbel Hall just outside Canowindra on Saturday 19th May from 5.30pm. Everyone is invited to attend this special event with a lovely two course dinner by Eat Your Greens and entertainment by Nuthin’ 2 Serious.
