Last Saturday night the 49th Annual Canowindra Debutante Ball was held at the Canowindra Services Club. It was a wonderful night as the 11 Debutantes from Canowindra High School and their partners were presented to Mr Michael Harrison and Ms Bronwyn Porter.
The Debutantes and their partners all looked stunning with some amazing dresses warn by the young ladies. The Debutantes were accompanied by the gorgeous Olivia McKenzie as Flower Girl and Jeremiah Tapim as Page Boy.
“Congratulations to our Year 11 students and their partners who were involved in the Deb Ball on Saturday night – they looked amazing. It was a wonderful evening that would not have been possible if not for the planning and hard work of our P&C, dance instructors, parents, Year 9 waitresses and the dedication of the debutante’s themselves,” said Canowindra High School Principal Neryle Smurthwaite.
The Debutantes and their partners wowed the large crowd with their dancing, thanks to Mrs Kath Balcombe.
A lovely meal was provided by the Canowindra Services Club and was served by Canowindra High School Year 9 students Kyra, Bridie, Letisha, Hayley, Amber and Lilly, who did a fantastic job.
The band Nuthin’2 Serious had everyone up and dancing the night away. Their music was enjoyed by everyone.
