Daroo Finalists Announced!

24 September, 2014 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Finalists for the 2014 Cabonne Daroo Business Awards have been announced following an overwhelming response from customers who voted for their favourites. Organisers have spent the past week counting more than 8800 votes to determine four finalists in 13 categories. Awards Chairman Bruce Buchanan said the public response has been amazing. “The awards moved to a popular vote format in 2013 which struck a real chord with the community,” he said. “However, this year the number of votes was more than double last year’s which shows the Daroo’s continue to go from strength to strength.” More than 80 businesses accepted nominations from the public which then cast their votes to determine the winners. A $3000 television advertising package on the WIN TV network awaits this year’s outstanding business when the winners are announced at a gala dinner in Molong on Friday 7thNovember 2014.
Cabonne Mayor Michael Hayes said the Daroo Awards showcased the quality and diversity of business enterprises in the Cabonne area. “The aim is to raise the profile of Cabonne companies and organisations that demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their area of service and business management,” he stated.
Those in the running from Canowindra include: The Deli Lama for Excellence in Hospitality, The Age Of Fishes for Excellence In Tourism, Eddy’s Of Canowindra for Excellence In Accommodation and the Canowindra Community Players for Contribution To Cabonne- Community Organisation. Cargo nominees are Rustic Notions for Bes New Business and Cargo Store for Excellence In Marketing.
We wish all the entrants the best of luck!
