Last year for the 2014 Cabonne Daroo Business Awards there were only 5 local Canowindra businesses that made it into the finals. These were Deli Lama, Cargo Store, Eddies of Canowindra, the Age of Fishes Museum and Canowindra Community Players. Let’s see if Canowindra can have a greater result this year.
We encourage everybody to select and nominate a business that is, in your idea, the best new business, ongoing business and home-based business; businesses with excellence in hospitality, sustainable agriculture, accommodation, tourism, and marketing, advertising and communications. You can also nominate a business or community group for their contribution to Cabonne, employee of the year and the best business in Cabonne.
We are sure that there are many award winning businesses in and around Canowindra, who we, as the local people should nominate so that they can also be one of the finalists this year. Nomination forms are available at the Canowindra Post Office, Graham Rice’s Newsagency and the Age of Fishes Museum. The aim of the Daroo Business Awards is to recognise the contributions and achievements made by Cabonne businesses and their employees and raise the profile of those businesses. The major prize is a $3000 television advertising package.
There are only a few weeks left to get your nominations in for your favourite Canowindra business as entries close on Saturday June 27th. Just by nominating, you could go into the draw to win $200 which you can spend at any business in the Cabonne region. So come on Canowindra, let’s get behind the businesses and see if we can come up with some winners.
