The profile of the awards has grown substantially since their inception in 2000, and they are now regarded as one of the major events on the regional business calendar.”

There were a number of Canowindra and Cargo businesses who ended up being finalists, including amongst others, Montrose House, Pizza and Souvlaki Co, The Canowindra Trading Post, Grantham House, Cargo Store, Montrose House, The Old Vic inn, Adloyalty, Duck I.T, Age of Fishes Museum, Canowindra Balloon Challenge, Kinsela Farm Supplies, Rosnay Organic Wines, Canowindra IGA, Canowindra Pre School Kindergarten and the Canowindra Phoenix.
