Year 8 Canowindra High school student Archie McDonald and his 12 year old brother Harry McDonald have both been selected to represent the Western Plains Outlaws in the NSW Cricket Youth Championships
Archie is backing up from a successful carnival last season to make the U15s Western Plains team. Harry is making his debut in the competition in the U13s team
The state wide competition is held annually throughout the month of December featuring teams from across the state. The format is four T20 matches held over 2 days, with the remaining matches being 40 overs games for 13s and 50 overs for 14s an 15s
Round 1 was played in glorious sunshine on Sunday against the Central West Wranglers at Sir Jack Brabham park Orange. Rounds 2-7 will be played in Dubbo from 20-23rd December. The heat will be a major factor for all participants
