The Canowindra Cricket Team following their Grand Final win over Molong last weekend.
Canowindra have claimed their 2nd Premiership since entering the Molong Cricket Association five seasons ago with a close victory over Molong Country at Canowindra.
Canowindra won the toss and elected to bat. Dangerous opener Hugh Breen continued his great form of late getting the home team off to a solid start of 40 before being caught. Breen’s innings included 3 sixes and 3 fours.
Brendan Traves came to the crease and kept the score ticking over rapidly. with some brilliant shots that included ten fours and one six, before he was dismissed, bowled by Joe Clayton for 64.
A great play from both sides in this Grand Final match, which was played and completed before the heavy rain set in. Congratulations to Canowindra who have been the best team all season.
