Country born sisters, S.T. Ruth and Twiggs aka The Crackup Sisters are this year’s headline act at The Canowindra Show to be held on 21-22 September.
With three brand new 30 minute shows, The Crackup Sisters will take audiences young and old on a fun filled ride full of comedy, clowning, acrobatics, whip cracking and Aussie bush banter.
The Crackup Sisters Homestead features an interactive set with an 8 metre high windmill where aerial acrobatics are performed, an exploding dunny and a roof that can be climbed on and clambered over. The shows are colourful, energetic and tell stories of the sisters and their country adventures. Proud of their Australian heritage, the sisters pay tribute to the Australian stockwhip sharing its history and exquisite skill.
The Crackup Sisters and the Homestead create an atmosphere that audiences love. The Sisters have two different kinds of workshops that take place at the homestead – Whip cracking “Have a Crack” and Hula Hoop “Have a Hoop”!
Each workshop is a 30 minute session with instructions on how to crack a whip or hoop a hula hoop. It is for those who are beginners and those who are pro! All whips, hoops, safety glasses and FUN is provided!
S.T. Ruth and Twiggs are country born sisters with a desire to create and perform for country people. Between them these sisters have a performance pedigree as long as your arm and have performed at and hosted events such as: Beef Australia, The Tamworth Country Music Festival, Deni Ute Muster, Winton Outback Festival, The NFR in Vegas and the Mount Isa and Mareeba Rodeos.
The Crackup Sisters will perform at 7.30pm on Friday night and at 11.30am and 12.30pm on Saturday before judging the Whip Cracking competition at 1.15pm. Aren’t we lucky to have them heading to Canowindra!
