Connecting Community At The Canowindra Groups And Services Expo

The vibrant heart of our community will be on full display this month at the annual Canowindra Community Groups and Ser­vices Expo. Mark your calendars for Satur­day, 13 June, from 11am to 2pm for this fan­tastic, free, family-friendly event designed to showcase the incredible network of vol­unteers, activities, and services that make Canowindra a wonderful place to live.

Whether you are a lifelong local looking to try something new, a fresh face in town eager to make connections, or just looking for a great family day out, the Expo offers a perfect opportunity to meet the brilliant vol­unteers who keep our town thriving.

The day promises a lively atmosphere packed with entertainment, activities, and displays for all ages. You can kick off the day with a beautiful performance by the Canow­indra Community Choir from 11:15am to 11:30am. Afterward, grab a bite to eat and enjoy a complimentary sausage sizzle, gen­erously provided by the Canowindra Lion’s Club between 11:30am and 1pm.

Families will find plenty of kids’ fun, includ­ing face painting by Mischa and Talitha from the Harvest Community Church available for a gold coin donation. Automotive en­thusiasts can marvel at impressive vehicle displays by the Midwest Historic Motor Club Inc and the Cowra Antique Vehicle Club Inc.

Finally, nature lovers should visit the WIRES stall for educational gift bags and the unique chance to meet a special native friend cur­rently in care.

A diverse array of stallholders will be on hand to share insights into their activities, with several groups running fundraisers on the day. Attendees can connect with a wide variety of clubs, historical societies, pro­gress committee, sports groups and service providers.
