We all know that laptops & desktops slow down with age & use! One of the major factors is wear & tear on the hard disk along with the system just getting cluttered. If your PC is slowing down, freezing or locks up frequently then it may need an overhaul.
If the hard disk is faulty or too slow it can be replaced and then Windows can be reinstalled along with all your valuable information.
Hard disk drives have issues with bad blocks, weak blocks or slow blocks with the last issue being not as serious but annoying, a possible sign of failure. If your hard disk is noisy or makes a clunking sound, then it’s time to replace. Usually it’s cheaper to replace the drive and re-install rather than buy a new PC. I have tools that check the quality of your drive and can make appropriate recommendations.
