I do hope everyone who has children is enjoying the school holidays with them, no doubt the children enjoy not having to go to school. It is a strange world out there and for children the internet offers as many threats as it does rewards so remain vigilant as young ones and teens use the computer these school holidays. Make sure your children don’t communicate with strangers and help them become aware of not giving away any personal information, as well as what sites/links they click on.
If you’re uncertain of what safeguards you can put in place to maintain healthy and safe computer usage then seek advice from a knowledgeable friend/family member or computer expert. One simple thing that can protect both children and PC from threats is to set them up as a “Standard User” which is fairly straightforward in Windows 10. Only an adult should be “Administrator User”.
