Canowindra High School students who represented the school at the CHS State Athletics Championships.
Last Friday 2nd August, eight students from Canowindra High School travelled to Barden Park, Dubbo to trial for the CHS State Athletics Championships. The team consisted of Alyssa Price, Emily Thomas, Lillian Harrison, Indi Heard, Harry Duguid, Hayley Hampton, Seth Middis and Sam Hamilton.
Inspired by our Olympians, the Canowindra students ran fast, threw big and jumped far and high matching other competitors.
Well done to all students for your effort on the day. Congratulations to Emily Thomas (Discus), Lillian Harrison (3000m, 1500m, 800m), and Hayley Hampton (High Jump) who all qualified for the NSW State Athletics Championships at Olympic Park in September by finishing in the top two in the Western Region. We look forward to hearing about your success next month!
