Christmas Shopping Days 2020

19 November, 2020 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Good news! Christmas joy is returning to Canowindra next week! The Christmas Shopping Days will be going ahead with a slight change to comply with NSW’s COVID-Safe Guidelines. Canowindra Business Chamber and Progress Association (CBCPA) will be organising the days which aim to promote local businesses.

Shopping begins on Wednesday, 25th November and runs until Saturday 28th with participating shops opening until 7pm on Saturday. Shoppers in participating stores will receive a raffle ticket for every $10 spent on any of the shopping days.

The shopping days will end with a day of festivities on Saturday, 28th November. Phill’s Paint & Blinds proudly supplies Australian owned Haymes Paint. Lunch will be available from the Royal Hotel, Old Vic Inn and Canowindra Hotel. Entertainment will go ahead with local buskers, Nerida Cuddy and live music at The Old Vic Inn, organised together by Old Vic Inn, Rouge Carriage Cafe and the Canowindra Hotel. The Lions will be hosting a BBQ at Montrose House. Prize winners will be drawn in the evening with three shopping vouchers courtesy of Cabonne Council on offer along with a few smaller prizes.

One small change has been made to the festivities by the CBCPA, due to COVID restrictions, with the usual roaming Santa sitting out this year.
