Canowindra Business Chamber held their first meeting under their new President, Caddie Marshall last Wednesday. Since then the Chamber have submitted a grant application for the installation of CCTV cameras in commercial areas of town. The grant was submitted to local member, the Hon John Cobb, MP, who expressed his support along with
Cabonne Council. The Chamber also promoted Canowindra at the Newcrest Cycling
Challenge event that saw 1500 cyclists pedal through town on Sunday.

Plans are also underway for a bigger and better Christmas Shopping Night. A survey of business participants is underway so that the Chamber can assess areas for improvement. Feedback from the survey will be used to plan an even more successful event! It’s also the time of year for memberships for the Chamber to be renewed and the Chamber Executive will be
out and about town to meet business owners and find out if they would like to join the
Chamber and what they would like from their Chamber. The next meeting will be held at
7pm, Wednesday 20th April at Canowindra Bowling Club.
