Central West Throwers

29 January, 2025 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

It was another great weekend for the CWT athletes with Damien Wells and Kara Baker heading to Queensland to compete, with both coming away with bronze medals.

They then had a quick dash back to meet up with team mates on Monday and compete in the U20 and Open ACT Championships. Damien competed in the men’s Open hammer and Ky Garrett in the U20’s, both winning Gold. In the women’s Open Kara Baker, Molly Goetz and Ashleigh McInery competed, with Molly taking the Gold and Kara the silver, then in the U20’s Canowindra’s Emily Thomas also won Gold. The next event for our throwers will be the NSW State Championships. Good luck to all!
