Celebrating Environmental Excellence

5 June, 2024 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Mid Lachlan Landcare are thrilled to an nounce that Jayden Gunn is a finalist for the NextGen Landcare Award.

Jayden’s journey began in 2011 with Mid Lachlan Landcare, where his dedication and expertise have driven significant conservation efforts in Central NSW. As the Vertebrate Pest Animal Coordinator, Jayden played a crucial role in the LandscapeScale Vertebrate Pest Animal Management Program, creating collaborative landholder groups to tackle pest issues effectively.

His impactful initiatives, like fox baiting and pig trapping groups, have significantly enhanced the ecological health of the region. Jayden’s commitment to environmental education through pest animal road shows has empowered landholders with essential knowledge and tools.

In 2018, Jayden joined Intrepid Landcare, quickly rising to a leadership position on the board. As vice-chair, he has been instrumental in organizing the next-gen Landcare conference, inspiring and mobilizing the younger generation towards environmental conservation.

Join in celebrating Jayden and other young environmental champions who are making a real difference in their communities. Watch the NSW Landcare Awards live on Monday, 3rd June from 4:30pm – 6:30pm at https://us06web.zoom.us/j/86510690784
