Youth advocate and educator Daniel Principe.
Catholic Education Diocese of Bathurst (CEDB) are leading the way when it comes to protecting our youth, embarking on a system-wide approach to student safety and respect.
Under the strategy, schools across the diocese will receive coordinated professional learning, curriculum resources and targeted supports to strengthen respectful relationships education, consent education, antibullying and early responses to complex student needs. “This is about prevention, not reaction,” a diocesan spokesperson said.
“When students feel safe, valued and respected, learning flourishes. Our focus is on building capability in our schools so that wellbeing is embedded, not added on.”
CEDB recognise supporting young people today means walking alongside parents and caregivers, especially in a world shaped by constant digital influence. That’s why they’re pleased to be hosting staff and parent workshops, led by youth advocate and educator Daniel Principe, as one of the initiatives of the rollout in 2026.
