Canowindra is set to come alive with the vibrant Rhythm and Roots Festival, a weekend of art, music, and community spirit, running from Friday, 15th November 15th to Sunday, 17th November. This weekend promises an unforgettable experience filled with music, art, delicious cuisine, and community fun.
The festival kicks off on Friday with The Palms Market from 4pm to 8pm. Visitors can enjoy live music by the Cicada Club, indulge in an array of street food from local favorites like Romanian Delights, Koyama Kitchen, and Vietnamese cuisine by Trang Hue, and explore arts and crafts stalls and fresh local produce. All time favourite Cicada Club will entertain us with their amazing sounds!Saturday’s schedule is brimming with activities, starting with a Watercolour Class led by acclaimed artist Peter Larsen. As the sun sets, head over to Rosnay Cellar Door for a special evening titled “Wine and Spirits,” featuring renowned medium Benjamin Graham and local musician Emily Reynolds. Attendees will enjoy a two-course dinner paired with a complimentary glass of Rosnay wine upon entry.
Sunday rounds off the weekend with more creative exploration in an Expressive Paint Class, leading into a lively Live Karaoke Open Mic Sunday Session at Rosnay, complete with catering by Koyama Kitchen.
