Canowindra’s Biggest Morning Tea Returns To Support Cancer Research

14 May, 2025 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

One of Canowindra’s most heartwarming community events, the Biggest Morning Tea, is set to return on Wednesday 21 May, taking place from 9:30am to 12pm on the footpath outside the Royal Hotel. Hosted annually by the dedicated members of the Canowindra branch of the Country Women’s Association (CWA), this much-loved morning tea is held in support of the Cancer Council’s life-saving cancer research and support services.

A proud local tradition since 1999, the Canowindra Biggest Morning Tea has brought the community together each year to share a cuppa, homemade treats, and good company—all for an incredibly important cause. Over the years, the event has raised significant funds to aid the fight against cancer, making a meaningful impact both locally and across the country.

This year’s event promises a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere out on the street.

Locals and visitors alike are invited to come along, enjoy a delicious morning tea, and contribute to this vital cause. Whether you’re catching up with friends, honouring a loved one affected by cancer, or simply lending your support, your presence will help make a difference.

The CWA volunteers work tirelessly to make this event a success each year, baking a wonderful array of cakes and slices to share with guests. Every cup poured and every dollar raised brings us one step closer to a cancer-free future.

Everyone is welcome—so bring a friend, bring your appetite, and come be part of something truly special. Together, we can make every cuppa count.
