Canowindra@home 2014 Long Lunch Ticket Release

30 January, 2014 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

The Canowindra@home team is heating up 2014 by promptly preparing for this year’s regional food and wine events, with focus still remaining on showcasing the region’s bounty of season produce and award winning wineries.

Kicking off 2014 will be the Canowindra@ home 100 Mile Long Lunch on Sunday 6th April. Tickets will go on sale at 9:00 am Mon- day 10th February and are to be purchased online @ www.canowindraathome.org.au. Please visit the website to subscribe for event reminders or Like Us on Facebook. Last year’s event sold out within 48 hours.

“We received overwhelming positive feed- back for last years’ event and this year’s format will be slightly different, but we are still looking to host an outdoor lunch to take advantage of our beautiful autumn days”, Canowindra@home president Helen Tinney explained.

The 100 Mile Lunch will marry the talents of local chefs with the ‘best of the best’ from of our local producers and winemakers. This year’s event will once again be held in the relaxed and comfortable grounds of the Age of Fishes Museum in Canowindra. For those unfamiliar to the event it takes its influence from the slow food movement, centering around long communal tables perfect for enjoying and sharing food, wine and good times.

For entertainment, the team has once again secured the great sounds of Trouble with Johnny featuring Cecelia Rochelli with a French Jazz theme to suit the occasion.
