Rugby Union: Canowindra vs. Blayney

21 May, 2014 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Blayney were the dominant side in the first half scoring 5 tries. After half time the Pythons showed a lot more dominance in the forwards. Luke Watt was able to intercept the ball and kick down field and out run the opposing winger and score another great solo try. Dan Bowd and Clint Oborn, were both disallowed tries that could have went either way, with the final score being 39-5.

McClintocks best and fairest points went to Jack Beath who picked up 3 points and players player for playing a very aggressive game. 2 Points went to Captain Dan Bowd, 2 points also went to Ed Price and 1 point went to the other break away Clint Oborn.

This weekend the boys have a home game with the CSU Aggies coming across from Orange. As always the ute bar and BBQ will be on the sideline. Game kicks off at 3:15pm.
