The Canowindra Tigers run out in their last game against Trundle two weeks ago. They lead the competition after 13 rounds.
The Canowindra Tigers will look to continue their winning ways after enjoying a bye last weekend, when they face the Cargo Blue Heelers at Cargo Oval on Sunday afternoon.
With Canowindra sitting two points clear on top of the table and yet to suffer a loss in 2021, they will head into the game as strong favourites, with Cargo sitting in 7th on the ladder with just four wins.
The Tigers will also be nice and fresh after enjoying the bye, and should be full of energy to continue their amazing form, after beating the third placed Trundle the week before.
The Tigers have been just as good in attack as in defense so far this season, amassing 440 points from their 10 wins and 1 draw so far, and conceding a mere 144 points at the same time, for a points differential of a whopping 296 points.
In stark contrast, Cargo have leaked the second most points so far, with 526 points already scored against them, while only scoring 248 points themselves.
A high-flying Tigers outfit could easily dent this stat further for Cargo.
Meanwhile, the Tigers girls league tag side will also take on Cargo after enjoying a bye last weekend.
If the ladder is anything to go by it should be a tighter contest than the men’s fixture, with the Tigers sitting in third and Cargo sitting in second and only two points away from the top.
Cargo will be coming off a massive 60-4 belting of Trundle, and having amassed 456 points already this season and only conceding 48, their attack will be hard to handle for Canowindra.
However, Canowindra have won their last five games, and with a great opportunity to prove their credentials, should be up for the task.
