The Canowindra Tigers First Grade side for 2022.
It was all one way traffic against Eugowra last Sunday with the Tigers winning the game 62-0. The Tigers dominated in the forwards led by Lewis Dwyer in the first half and Joey Carmen in the second. An early try to Tim Roberts unconverted opened the scoring and Tigers lead 4-0. Shortly after George Lolo scored under the post which was converted the Tigers lead 10-0. Ned Stevenson scored out wide to push the score to 22-0. Lewis Dywer showed some fancy footwork to score his second try and some after running like a back scored his third.
Tigers led 34-0 at the break, Nick Barlow kicked 4 from 4 in the second half and the tries continued with Nick Curtis, Brodie Friend and Ronnie Lawrence all scoring.
This week the Tigers travel to Manildra for the top of the table clash.
Youth League v Eugowra
A pleasing return to form from the young Tigers with a convincing win over Eugowra 30-18. The young Tigers got off to a good start but a few errors and discipline gave Eugowra more possession and ran in 4 tries to put pressure back on Canowindra.
A more polished second half from the Tigers saw them control the game and let the ball do the work. Clever play from Tigers resulted in more tries to Dylan Slattery and one to Ethan Burling to seal the win.
League Tag
Impressive win from the Tigeresses to the tune of 40-0. The return of Emma Bailey made an impact scoring the first try and setting up the next to put Katie Baker over. Soon after using the backline resulted in Kyra Fisher scoring. Further tries in the second half to Paige Selton, Maddie Brooks, Holly Jones, Kelly Price and Charlie Burling kicking four goals.
