On Saturday, 17th June the Canowindra Tigers lost to the Warriors, 22-18. It was a very stop/start game of rugby league. The scores were locked at 18 all with seconds left to play. The Tigers had a chance to snatch a victory from a scrum midfield and put up a kick but the bounce off the ball went the Warriors way. The Warriors half then sprinted 70 metres to score the winning try. It was a tough, hard game with many big clashes in the forward packs and some exciting backline movements. Lewis Dywer earned the 3 points and players player award, Blake Duncombe 2 points, Logan Harris 1 point.
Women’s League Tag: All the girls available for this game tried their hearts out, but the Warrior girls were too strong for them and gained a comfortable win.
Youth League: Canowindra Tigers played Condobolin at Eugowra and went down in a close game, 30-22. The boys are improving every week but are encouraged to attend training.
Next week the club is taking on Grenfell at Grenfell on Sunday, June 25th.
