CANOWINDRA TIGERS

14 August, 2019 By editor

Canowindra Tigers had a good win against the Eugowra Eagles 82 – 2 on a freezing cold day at Tom Clyburn Oval.

The Eugowra side only had 10 players after a number of their players left and the Canowindra Tigers decided to play with 10 also and run reserves on when needed.

Eugowra was very appreciative and their President commented after the game at the presentation at the Royal Hotel how pleased he was with the effort from Canowindra to show such sportsmanship.

The Montrose House Players Player went to Andy Kelleher with all players receiving 1 point for good sportsmanship and great enthusiasm.

The league tag girls had a great win over Eugowra 66-0. They ran the ball well with good skills and backed up one another and defended really well. 3 points went to Brittney Whatman, 2 points to Kelly Price and 1 point to Jessica Perry, all three girls were awarded Players Player for the week.

This Saturday 17th August Canowindra will host the first week of Semi Finals. The league tag girls will play Condobolin at 1.40pm and the first grade Tigers will take on Grenfell at 3pm.
