The game against Manildra lived up to its promoted clash as the Tigers would go above them on the table if they came home with a victory. The defence was strong but Manildra scored after they sliced through a hole to score next to the post to lead 6-0 after five minutes.
Due to some uncharacteristic errors the Tigers gave Manildra good field position and they capitalised by swinging the ball out wide to score in the corner to lead 10-0 after 15 minutes.
The Tigers fought back with good play and set the platform for Dan Madden to score out wide to narrow the gap to 10-4. Manildra then forced their way down the field and caught the Tigers short, with the winger scoring and extending their lead to 14-4.
The forwards attacked with a great run from Brad Bowman and then Dan Middleton dived over from dummy half and the score was now 20-10.
Final score Canowindra won 30-24. Best and fairest 3 points to Dan Madden, 2 points to Jayden Brown and 1 each to Aaron Earsman (and Players Player) and Dan Middleton.
