Canowindra Tigers had a very strong second- half to edge out the home team by one point winning 25 points to 24 against Cargo last weekend. The Tigers were very lethargic the first half and their intensity in defence wasn’t there and Cargo ran in four tries.
The Tigers were a completely different side in the second half and a far better side to hold Cargo to only two points after being down 22 points to 6. With good rotation from the bench the forward pack gained control and the backs capitalised on their opportunities.
With the scores locked at 24 all and five minutes to go Matt Maclean hit the post with a penalty attempt. Three points and players player went to Jayden Brown, 2 points to Brad Bowman and 1 to Aaron Earsman. This week the Tigers play Peak Hill at the Oval.
