Canowindra Swimming Club

24 September, 2014 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Canowindra’s recently refurnished swimming pool opens on Saturday 4th October at 10am, but before the doors open officially the Annual ‘’Icebreakers’’ will take place on Thursday the 2nd October at 5.30pm. This event is run to raise money for a cause and for locals to come and christen the pool for the 2014/15 season. Jarrod is challenging everyone to come along, pay $20 and take the plunge. All money raised will go to the Canowindra Swimming Club.
Canowindra Swimming Club has a proud history in Canowindra and is holding an information night on Friday 10th October to welcome new and old members to the new season and provide information on registration. If you have a confident swimmer who would like to join and race on Friday nights put this date in your diary.
Other activities taking place throughout the season will be Bootcamp, Aqua Therapy (Aerobics), Swimming Lessons, School Swimming, Squad Training and Early Morning Lap Swimming.
Jarrod and Lisa would like to remind the public that the pool will be open every day from 10am till 6pm, that the solar heating is up and running, the new shade sails have been installed, the BBQ facilities are available free of charge and the most important thing of all….. The Deep Fryer will be up and running and the famous hot chips will be available to not only pool goers but also the general public.
