Canowindra Swimming Club achieved fantastic results at the Annual Development Carnival on Sunday 31 January.
50m Freestyle Wade Kinsela: 1st – 14yrs Boys Will Wright: 1st – 15yrs Boys
Eden Hawke: 2nd – 9yrs Girls Matt Rice: 2nd – 16 yrs & over Boys
Brooke Kinsela : 2nd – 16 yrs & over Girls Katlin McKay: 2nd – MC girls Kye Reid: 3rd – 16 yrs & over Boys Amelia Holmes: 3rd – 16 yrs & over Girls
50m Butterfly
Matt Rice: 2nd – 16 yrs & over Boys Kye Reid: 3rd – 16 yrs & over Boys
Brooke Kinsela: 2nd – 16 yrs & over Girls Amelia Holmes: 3rd – 16 yrs & over Girls Special mention to Rianna Reeves with a 6 second PB, Marshall McKay 8 second PB and Laura Flannery 6 second PB.
100m Open Breaststroke
Matt Rice: 1st Wil Wright: 3rd with a massive 16 second PB
50m Backstroke
Matt Rice: 1st – 16 yrs & over Boys Hannah Etty: 2nd – 13yrs Girls Kye Reid: 2nd – 16 yrs & over Boys Amelia Holmes: 2nd – 16 yrs & over Girls Jackson Reeves: 3rd – 12 yrs Boys Brooke Kinsela: 3rd – 16 yrs & over Girls
25m Backstroke
Lillian Harrison: 1st – 10yrs & under girls

100m Open Freestyle
Matt Rice: 2nd – Mens Finlay Rowston: 3rd – Mens Brooke Kinsela: 3rd – Womens 50m Breaststroke
Wade Kinsela: 1st – 14yrs Boys Will Wright: 1st – 15yrs Boys Matt Rice: 1st – 16yrs & over Boys Anja Gowe: 2nd – 11yrs Girls Laura Flannery: 2nd – 13yrs Girls Finlay Rowston: 2nd – 16yrs & over Boys Katlin McKay: 2nd – MC girls
Amelia Holmes: 2nd – 16 yrs & over Girls Brooke Holmes: 3rd – 16 yrs & over Girls Hannah Etty: 3rd – 13 yrs Girls Relays 10 Yrs & Under 100m Medley
Alex Mitchell, Rianna Reeves, Eden Hawker and Lachlan Rice, brave effort to finish 6th.

Open 200m Medley
Canowindra got the Quinella here, with Wade Kinsela, Hannah Etty, Matt Rice and Brooke Kinsela finishing 1st, followed closely by Kye Reid, Laura Flannery, Julia Wright and Finlay Rowston.
4 x 50 Free 10yrs & under
Alex Mitchell, Lachlan Rice, Amy Harrison and Eden Hawker just missing the placings and finishing 4th.
4 x 50 Free Open
Kye Reid, Amelia Holmes, Brooke Kinsela and Matt Rice combined to finish first, while Wade Kinsela, Hannah Etty, Laura Flannery and Finlay Rowston were in hot pursuit giving Canowindra another 1-2 finish.

The Hilton Cup 10 x 25m
(Team swimming to the closest to their nominated time is declared the winner.)
Defending the title from last year, Canowindra’s team of Matt Rice, Kye Reid, Finlay Rowston, Wade Kinsela, Will Wright, Claire Wright, Julia Wright, Brooke Kinsela, Hannah Etty and Amelia Holmes, swam within 0.72 seconds of their nominated time.

To cap off a great day, Canowindra also picked up second and third in this event.
