Eight laps of freestyle were swum for the 200m freestyle Championships this weeks and the Spoon final was just squeezed in before lightning closed the night early.
Amy Harrison and Zac Giger were the only improvers in the Spoon heats as both improved their times by a second.
Will Ward took 2 seconds from his time in the semis which saw him the first swimmer off in the Final.
The impending storm may have pushed him to a better time and in the final, Will bettered his time by 4 seconds and as such he was too fast for the Spoon.
Fighting out the title behind him were Laura Flannery and Dominic Smyth, with Laura winning the Spoon in a personal best time of 19 seconds.
400m freestyle is the final Championship this week so sign up before Wednesday and be ready for roll call at 5:45pm.
With no relay, all that is left is the Presentation Night which will be on Friday 4th April following Swimming Club’s AGM which will commence at 6pm.
