Newly appointed Canowindra Progress Association committee members.
The General Meeting for the Canowindra Progress Association was held on Monday night at the Canowindra Services Club. As with the first meeting that was held, the General Meeting was very well attended with 40 members of the community in attendance.
At this meeting, the brand new committee was appointed and the individuals represent a great cross-section of the community for Canowindra.
Tom Beath has been elected as President, Kathy Davis Vice President, Kim Roberts Secretary, Beth Gordon Treasurer, Deb Clarke Policy Officer, Michelle Fisher, Jenny Middleton and Chris Cuddy round out the final positions of the committee.
“We are pleased to inform the members and the community that our new formal committee has now been formed at Monday night’s meeting,” Tom Beath, President, Canowindra Progress Association, explained.
“A big thank you to all the towns folk for attending. We have many new members and now we can get all the good things happening for the town. Letters and applications can now be sent to relevant authorities to help in the assistance of the great things that will happen for Canowindra.
“There is also a suggestion box at the front of the Services Club for all the community’s ideas. Stay tuned and follow us on facebook for what’s happening,” Tom said.
Canowindra residents are encouraged to become a part of the newly formed Canowindra Progress Association that has been formed by members of the community to oversee a range of various projects that will forward the advancement of the town.
To become a member, you can pick up a new member form from the Canowindra Services Club. The Canowindra Progress Association will hold monthly meetings, on the third Monday of every month. All community members are welcome.
