Turners Vineyard in Orange was the venue of choice for the 2016 Central West Orana Business Awards gala dinner on Friday. The glamourous evening, hosted by the NSW Business Chamber, saw business people from across the Central West attend in the hope of being announced winner of their category. Though not nominated for an award, Canowindra Produce was given a special acknowledgement for 25 years of association with the Chamber. Mark Brown was in attendance representing Canowindra Produce and accepted the gift for this significant milestone. “We’ve found the NSW Business Chamber really helpful for information such as rates of pay, wages, legal advice and all the things you struggle to find in a small town. They’ve been fantastic” said Mark; “It’s nice to be acknowledged for something, that’s quite rare this day and age.” The big scoop of the night came from Dubbo business, Transforce, who was named the 2016 Central West Orana Business of the Year. Transforce, who specialise in road transport services, also won the award for Excellence in Business. “Central West Orana NSW Business Chamber Regional Manager, Vicki Seccombe, congratulated all the businesses who were nominated; “This year’s winners should feel incredibly proud to be named as the region’s leading businesses for 2016, and we wish them every success as they continue to represent the Central West, Orana and Far West at the NSW Business Chamber State Business Awards later this year.”
