Canowindra Pre-School Welcomes New Committee

22 March, 2017 By editor

At this month’s Canowindra Pre-School AGM the Canowindra Pre-School Committee farewelled Mandy Townsend, their vibrant President who has been in charge for the past three years. During the AGM, the committee celebrated the highlights and successes of 2016 and commiserated over the standing down of Mandy Townsend – President, Rach Arnott – Vice President for 5 years and Dani Nicka – Secretary for 1 year.

With these enthusiastic mums in charge the Canowindra Pre-School has developed and grown financially, professionally and aesthetically. This has occurred from exceptional leadership, dedication and commitment to the long-term viability and sustainability of the Canowindra Pre-School.

The Canowindra Pre-School is delighted to announce and welcome the new executive committee for 2017. Nadine Daly – President, Sarah Maynard – Vice President, Ros Bullock – Vice President/Chairperson, Katy Henry – Treasurer and Sharni Duguid – Secretary. There are also several general committee members who help regularly. The new 2017 committee is looking forward to the challenge and are already planning some great events for Canowindra to help with the fundraising efforts to renovate the Pre-School. Coming up before the end of term the Pre-Schoolers will be putting on an Easter Hat Parade during the week of the 3rd April 2017 at 2pm and showcasing their special Easter hats made at Pre-School and performing a musical item. The Canowindra Pre-School will also be marching in the local ANZAC Day Parade down Gaskill St on Tuesday 25th April. This is a lovely day out for the young children often showcasing their grandparents or great-grandparents medals.

If anyone would still like to join the Canowindra Pre-School Committee head along to one of the monthly meetings, the next one is on Tuesday 16th May at 7pm at the Pre-School. (There is no meeting in April due to the School Holidays). The staff and committee look forward to welcoming you!
