Canowindra Pre-School To Create Cook Book

12 May, 2022 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Director of Canowindra Pre-School Kindergarten Inc Bronwin Lay with educator Denise Fisher and some of the Pre-School children.

The Canowindra Pre-School Kindergarten Inc will receive a Cabonne Council Community Assistance Program Grant of $7,889.30 after it was confirmed at the last Council Meeting in April.

The grant money will go towards the production of a coffee table, display style cook book that tells a story along with each recipe.

The cook book will be put together by Pre-School employee Katie Kelly who has a lot of food knowledge and styling skills that will showcase recipes from the local community.

So if you have a favourite recipe and a story about who you used to cook it with or who it reminds you of the Pre-School would love to hear from you! Simply email your story and recipes to admin@canowindrapreschool.com.au the cook book should be ready by Christmas time.

In other news at the Pre-School, a new committee was elected last week at the AGM. President is Zoe Nash, Vice President is Brendan Nash, Secretary is Kaila Lawrence and Treasurer is Lauren Dunk-ley. The general committee members are a mix of community and parent volunteers, who all bring new strengths and experience to help guide the Pre-School and include Eleanor Falkiner, Tara Fernando, James Wythes, Ashley Wright, Carolyn Austin and Helen Payten.

The Pre-School also welcomed educator and local resident of Canowindra Jackie Watson at the start of Term 2 to the delight of parents, students and other employees at the Pre-School.
