The Lawrence’s IGA team are inviting you to celebrate with them this Saturday evening at the Bowling Club.
A huge celebration will be taking place and the whole town is invited, this Saturday 2nd December, from 5pm at the Canowindra Bowling Club.
Johnny Lawrence and Peter Watt have worked side by side at Lawrences IGA for the last 45 years. From humble beginnings and with support from special friends in Canowindra, Johnny was able to purchase the local grocery store and Peter was right there beside him.
To say it’s been a family business would not be an understatement. Johnny’s children – Josh, Kerby, Adelaide and Ronald have all had a part to play in the success of this local business, and coupled with Peter’s family – Adam, Luke and Michael who have also worked at the grocery store over the years.
Johnny has employed well over 200 employees in the last 45 years and over this period of time, he has donated a phenomenal amount of money to sporting clubs, community groups and organisations in our town and the surrounding district.
On Saturday night, Johnny and Peter, together with their staff would like to welcome all previous and current employees, community members and businesses to help celebrate this special milestone.
