The library is gearing up for Shakespeare Day with a new display featuring the Science Faculty skull in reference to Hamlet. We also have on display graphic novels of many of the great plays that make them easy to read.
Our Elizabethan hat making workshop was a success as you can see from the pictures. There is one more sword being offered as a prize for the first person who answers Monday’s quiz question so watch space in front of the the canteen at recess.
LIBRARY BOOK OF THE WEEK
Will Wright from Year 8 has chosen a book to review for this week. Here’s what he wrote:-
Wonder by RJ Palacio
Wonder is, well, a wonderful book. The storyline involves a boy with a disfigured face (very disfigured) as he goes into middle school. He has never been to school before.
Facing many troubles and teasing due to his face, he makes it through the year. He eventually makes friends, goes on an excursion and lots of other things (which I’m not going to name, you’re going to have to read the book).
Wonder is a fantastic book and I highly recommend it- 8.5/10.
