Canowindra Golf

17 September, 2025 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Golfers enjoyed another fine Sunday at Canowindra Golf Club, with a strong field turning out for a competitive and social day on the course.

In the men’s division first place was claimed by Rob Bowman, Bruce Austin secured second place, while third place went to Doug Flannery. In the women’s division, Maureen Lawrence took out first place with a well-played round.

The club extends its gratitude to this week’s sponsor, John and Christine Burton, whose ongoing support makes these Sunday competitions possible.

Players faced welcoming spring weather, with sunshine and a gentle breeze which provided a fitting backdrop for the day’s play. The club thanks all members and guests who participated and looks forward to another strong turnout next weekend.

Looking ahead, this Sunday will feature a 27-hole Par Three, proudly sponsored by See Saw Wines. This event promises to be both challenging and enjoyable, and the club encourages members and visitors alike to take part in what will be a highlight of the season.
