As part of the week-long activities for the Canowindra International Balloon Challenge Festival, the Canowindra Garden Club is taking part and opening their gardens for the visitors to our region.
Commencing Monday 22nd April, from 1:30pm-3:30pm, there will be six gardens open for viewing. The gardens are located across Canowindra from Gaskill Street, to Ryall Street, across to Rodd Street and onto the Belubula Way.
Wednesday 24th April, from 12:00pm- 4:00pm, the spectacular “Paul Bangay” designed garden at Noojee Lea will be open for viewing. Bring along a picnic blanket and enjoy the afternoon in the garden. There will also be a coffee cart on site with drinks and food available.
Entry to Noojee Lea garden will be by donation, with all proceeds being collected going to the Canowindra Hospital Auxiliary to help them with their wonderful work in the community.
Friday 26th April, from 1:30pm – 3:30pm, take a garden stroll along Suttor Street, then onto Short Street, and along Blatchford Street to take in seven gardens, and concluding at the Canowindra Connections Centre for afternoon tea.
The week long Balloon Festival will kick off 20th April, at 5:00pm with the inaugural “Welcome To Canowindra Street Party” along Gaskill Street, where the Canowindra BBQ Masters will be taking place, live music and market stalls will also feature at the Street Party, to welcome our Balloonists and visitors to our town.
