The rising young Australian trained opera stars, Jessica Harper, Blake Parham and accompanying pianist and opera singer, Josephine Flores-Tam, will be coming to town next month. The trio will perform at All Saints’ Church, Canowindra at 2pm on Sunday 2nd April. They will present romantic German songs by Mozart, Don Giovanni, Schumann and others, exploring the several variations of love and loss, ‘beginning with the first moments of love’s confession, the kiss of hope, the sting of betrayal and the upheaval that follows.’ If an encore is called for, as it surely will be, it will be The Balcony Scene from Romeo and Juliet.
All three of these full-time professional artists have gained, or are studying for master’s degrees of PHDs in their music. They have studied and performed collectively in the UK, Europe and New Zealand and have worked with a wide range of opera companies, ensembles and choirs in live performance, TV production and recording in Australia. With all this talent under one
roof, it’s sure to be a harmonious evening to remember. Tickets cost $30 and can be
purchased at The Age of Fishes Museum, Gaskill Street. For further information call
