Canowindra Digs Deep At CWA Biggest Morning Tea

18 June, 2025 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

The Canowindra CWA ladies set up a delighful outdoor cafe space under the Royal Hotel venradah for their Biggest Morning Tea.

The Canowindra branch of the Country Women’s Association (CWA) recently hosted a highly successful Biggest Morning Tea, raising an impressive $2,224 for cancer research and support services.

The event, held under the Royal Hotel verandah, was made possible through the generosity of the local community and supporters.

The Canowindra branch of the CWA extends heartfelt thanks to Trevor for the use of the hotel’s facilities, including tables and chairs, which helped create a welcoming and comfortable setting for guests.

A special thank you also goes to Tom from the Royal Hotel, whose efforts in setting up and packing away were greatly appreciated by all involved.

The Canowindra branch of the CWA acknowledges the many individuals who donated their time, homemade food, and energy to make the morning tea a success.

Their contributions, combined with the enthusiasm of everyone who came along, enjoyed a cuppa, and generously donated, created a warm and uplifting community atmosphere.

The event also featured a popular raffle, with local supporters eagerly awaiting the results. Congratulations go to Sue Beath, who took out first prize, and to Sue Gavin, the lucky winner of second prize.

The Canowindra branch of the CWA is proud to support the Cancer Council through this annual event and deeply values the community spirit that makes such fundraisers possible. Plans are already in motion to make next year’s Biggest Morning Tea even bigger and better.
