The CWA Canowindra branch will hold a series of Boomerang Bag Making/UFO Days in the coming months to continue their “War on Waste”. After the recent plastic bag ban in major supermarkets and local shops a reusable bag is now a hot commodity and used every day by many people.
The CWA are seeking people who want a laugh, can sew, iron, fold and cut. There will be many jobs available to do on the day and you do not have to be a CWA member to attend, you just need to be keen to reduce waste.
There will be sewing machines, overlockers, material, tables, lighting, air con, tea and coffee and wonderful company all available on the day.
The first Boomerang Bag/UFO Day will be held this Sunday 3rd March from 10am- 1pm in the CWA Hall in Blatchford St. Other dates scheduled include Sunday 31st March, Sunday 28th April and Sunday 26th May.
