RE: CANOWINDRA CHRISTMAS DAY LUNCH 2022
Ten years ago, the first Canowindra Christmas Day Lunch took place. It began with a
conversation of how the Canowindra community could be supported and celebrated at this special time of year, which for some, can also be the loneliest.
Except for 2020, due to COVID-19, we’ve continued to come together.
A committee of seven ladies formed the original committee and from there the Christmas Lunch has become an anticipated community gathering. Local businesses, schools, Moyne Eventide Nursing Home, musicians, community groups and wonderful individuals have contributed towards making this time a true celebration of community and Christmas spirit.
If you’d like to volunteer to help on Christmas Day, Christmas Eve set up, food preparation etc you are invited to contact Deb on 0487 801 767.
For all those who have contributed in any way over the ten years, please accept this is our personal thank you.
