MEN’S BOWLS NEWS
Last Sunday an O’Brien Cup match was played, with Dally and Dool against Nick and Teddy. It was not a good day at the office for Dally and Dool as Nick and Teddy took control of the game to win 37-12. Saturday August 27 will see the consistency singles, played by V Mirto, V C Webb,
Marker, P Kennedy, M Lawrence, V B Webb, Marker, and J Preston. Sunday August 28 will see the O’Brien Cup, played by C Webb, J Preston, V B Webb, R Lynch, M Lawrence, N Delaney, V M Baldwin and R Traves.

Mixed mufti bowls will continue on Thursday August 25 with names in by 1.30pm for 2.00pm start. All are welcome. Bring a friend. The Wednesday badge draw was $1350, and Friday’s badge draw will be $900. Bingo is on this Thursday at 11AM.

WOMEN’S BOWLS NEWS
The Ladies Bowls had four club matches Tuesday 23/08/16. The Rose Bowl match ups were Heather Hoad v Betty Jenkins, won by Hoad 25-16; Colleen Crump v Bobby Turner, 27-16 by Crump; Jill Messenger v Joyce Middleton, won 25-22 by Messenger; and Gwen Haydon v Nancy Morrow, won 25-16 by Haydon. There were also two Social Games and one game of triples. The triples saw Jean Roth, Betty Hodge and Moyna Rue lock horns with Jeanette Wheeldon, Daph Bryant and Margaret Gosper.

There was one game of three Bowl Pairs between Radka Tatterson and Jenny Middleton, and Linda Miller and Ellen Petty. Tatterson and Middleton won 16-14. The Lucky Number was won by Bobby Turner. Anyone interested in playing Ladies Bowls, whether it be for fun or competition, all are welcome. Players meet at 9am on Tuesdays for a 10 am start of play.
